Woman allegedly planned to kill her mother to get money for online love scammer

Roxanne Reed.

Roxanne Reed had fallen for an online love scammer. The 65-year-old woman from Raleigh, North Carolina, was sending him money.

Reed thought she was talking to a physical therapist and business owner from Texas. But that man’s identity had been stolen by the scammer.

Reed sent text messages to the scammer, saying she would kill her mother, although it’s unclear how she’d get money from that to send to the scammer.

Woman plotted to kill her mother for online love scam: police, on NYPost.com.

Emotional and psychological abuse, described by 12 Lovefraud readers

What does emotional and psychological abuse look like? Here are a dozen examples provided by respondents to the Lovefraud Senior Sociopath Survey:

1 . Any arguments that happened as a result of me bringing up something he had done or said were always flipped to be my fault and I would end up crying and apologising and he would withhold affection.

2 . He would tell me that I was perfect and then if he didn’t like my behavior he would say I needed to change

If you’re divorcing a sociopath, and you have children with this person, the chances are good that you’ll end up in a custody battle.

It’s not that your soon-to-be-ex really cares about the children and wants to be in their lives. In reality, the sociopath wants to punish you, and the most painful way to do that is through the children.

Hundreds of Roman Catholic priests sexually abused thousands of children over multiple decades, according to a grand jury report released by Pennsylvania Attorney General Office on August 14.

One of those children may have been my cousin, Terry Smith.

Domestic violence perpetrators convince Australian police that they’re the victims

Domestic violence perpetrators convince Australian police that they’re the victims

When police in Victoria, Australia, get a domestic violence call, about 12% of the time they issue an intervention order against the wrong person, according to Women’s Legal Service Victoria. When it happens, the victim may be arrested, barred from the home, and deemed a danger to his or her children.

The perpetrators, typically men, present themselves as the victims and say their partners are psychotic or on medication. Although it can be very difficult to police to determine who is telling the truth, one organization, called No To Violence, believes that with training police can get better at correctly assessing domestic violence situations.

Sociopaths tend to use all the same tactics while reeling in new romantic partners, as if they were all working from the same well-known reference manual. If you were able to find this playbook, written by an alpha sociopath for the benefit of the trainees, here are ploys it would include.

1 . Listen intently to your targets, staring into their eyes and hanging on their every word. This encourages them to keep talking — and everything they tell you can later be used as ammunition against them.

How psychopathic parents can affect children

How psychopathic parents can affect children

A Lovefraud reader who posts as “Mani” asked a question that I’m sure is of interest to many others, so I’ll address it in a blog post. Mani writes:

I was one of the children who lived with a psychopath for a long time. I fought all my life not to let him a part of my personality. In comparison to what I was exposed to I think I have been successful. But is there anybody out there who can shed more light on the effects of a psychopath father on children, particularly boys?

Self-Forgiveness: Understanding and letting go of guilt

Travis will be addressing an important issue that I know many of us struggle with — overcoming our anger at ourselves for our involvement with the sociopath.

I know that when I finally realized that everything I believed about my disordered ex-husband was a lie, and that my entire marriage had been nothing but a financial scam, the person I was most angry with was myself.

Watch online: He Lied About Everything

Dr. Paolo Macchiarini.

I just watched the documentary He Lied About Everything, available online at InvestigationDiscovery.com. It’s the story of Benita Alexander, who as a NBC News producer, was seduced and scammed by Dr. Paolo Macchiarini, a world-famous surgeon.

I think Benita was incredibly brave in telling her story. While the good doctor was love bombing her, they both recorded plenty of videos. Benita, I’m sure, thought she was recording her fairytale romance. I don’t know what was in Macchiarini’s mind, because he obviously knew his whole involvement was a fake, so essentially what he recorded was evidence of his psychopathy.
