Coming this spring: Lovefraud online courses for survivors and therapists

One of the big reasons why so many people fall for sociopaths and other exploiters is that we don’t know they exist, don’t know the warning signs, and don’t know how to escape. Lovefraud is taking a big step towards solving these problems by offering online education for mental health professionals and the public.

This initiative has been in the works for almost two years. The program will launch in May/June we’re still finalizing the details. If you want to be notified about when the courses will be offered and when registration will open, join our mailing list for Lovefraud Continuing Education News.

Most courses will be webinars, either one hour or two hours long. You’ll log in and watch the instructor’s presentation on your computer screen, while the instructor explains his or her material. (If you’ve ever attended a meeting or webinar on the Citrix GoToMeeting platform, then you’ll know what to expect.) If you have questions, you’ll be able to send them via chat or email, and the instructor will respond.

After the initial presentation of each course, Lovefraud CE will offer replays of it, and then it will be available on demand, so you can watch whenever you want. You’ll have exactly the same experience, except that the instructor will not be available to answer questions.

All of the instructors are experts in some aspect of dealing with psychopaths, sociopaths, narcissists, borderlines, or other exploitative personalities. They understand the disorders. They understand the experience of people who have been targeted. They will share information to help you, if you’re a survivor, or to enable you to help your clients, if you’re a therapist.

Continuing education credits are available for psychologists and social workers. Lovefraud CE is approved by the American Psychological Association as a continuing education sponsor. Courses are pending approval from the National Association of Social Workers.

Absolutely incredible Donna!!! WOW, you are a woman of action!! These courses are brilliant and so is the method of watching them.

I can not thank you, Terry & your team enough for all the dedication & effort you all put forward to help victims realize who they are dealing with (a sociopath), helping a victim leave their abuser & helping all of us heal.

I remember the night I was searching the net after my first counseling session where the counselor told me I was married to a “sociopath”. With tears streaming down my face I started to read your site. It was a tremendous amount of information so much so that my brain was overloaded & it took me three more times to be able to read your site for more then a few minutes.

Slowly thought my mind awakened from my h (now ex h) brain washing & gas lighting abuse. I quickly realized that my escaping my h while he was away on a “business trip” (found out after he was having an affair with 3 women in two different states) was the best thing I ever did for myself along with driving 3000 miles away from him despite at the time not knowing who I was dealing with.

What your site gave me was the answers I had been praying for…that I was not crazy…and all the times that I thought my h was crazy (& his family) were true he is the one that is crazy and that the marriage would never last, leaving is the only option when dealing with a sociopath.

You are a true earth angel Donna & so is Terry. Thank you!! 😇

(ps just wanted you to know that I have been thinking about you & Terry & hoping he is recovering quickly)

This is AWESOME news!!! Totally agree 100% with Jan7 … you and Terry are true Earth angels 🙂 Thank you for what you have done and continue to do!

I for one will definitely be taking advantage of the survivor and public courses … especially the first and third one mentioned above.

The credit courses for the professionals will be immensely helpful to them in order to be successful in understanding, supporting and helping their patients. Again, this is AWESOME!

Thank you …
