Niels Hogel, 40, a nurse in Germany, had a bad habit: He gave dangerous drugs to intensive care patients so that he could resuscitate them. Except sometimes he failed, and the patients died.
Hogel was found guilty of two murders in 2015 and jailed for life. But since then, the police investigated other deaths in the hospitals where Hogel worked, and suspect that he may be responsible for at least 88 more murders.
A psychiatrist says that Hogel is “deeply ashamed.” I doubt it.
