Description
Master manipulators are everywhere. Thirty million Americans — 12% of the population — have serious, exploitative personality disorders. The Best of the Lovefraud Blog series helps you spot, escape and recover from them.
These four books, by Donna Andersen, author of Lovefraud.com, each offer you more than 50 insightful articles on sociopaths — people who could be diagnosed with antisocial, narcissistic, borderline, histrionic or psychopathic personality disorder. The articles explain, in short, bite-sized pieces, how sociopaths behave, how they seduce their romantic partners, how to interact with them if you must, and how to recover from the emotional and psychological damage that they cause.
The books are:
Understanding the Sociopath explains, in plain language, the people in all areas of society who do not play by the same rules of life as the rest of us. These master manipulators seem normal at first, but their objective is to use and exploit us. Learn why sociopaths do what they do, why they will never change, and why you need to get them out of your life. More info on this book.
Seduced by a Sociopath explains how millions of people pursuing romantic relationships are charming, affectionate, passionate — and fake. These deceptive sociopaths pursue romantic relationships not for love, but for exploitation. Learn how they convince you to fall for them, so you can spot the charade and escape. Dealing with a Sociopath explains how to interact with someone who lies, cheats, manipulates and exploits. Sociopaths only care about what they want — what you want or need is irrelevant. If you have no choice but to engage with them, learn the rules — and always be on high alert. More info on this book
Recovery from a Sociopath helps you understand why you feel so shattered by a confusing and abusive relationship, and guides you on how to heal your life. Sociopaths cannot love you; they can only use you. The experience is so devastating that you may wonder if it’s even possible to recover. Yes, it is. More info on this book
Sociopaths are everywhere — in all countries, all cities, all demographic groups. They can blend easily into society when it suits their purpose. You need to know that they exist and how to spot them. These four books give you the knowledge and tools you need to protect yourself.

I’m so grateful for this book series. Before reading these books, I always thought that sociopaths were just like they portray in the movies, that violence and murder is the norm, and without it, a person can’t possibly be a sociopath. Although being a sociopath doesn’t exclude a person from having these tendencies, I know now that murder and such is not a requirement for identifying someone as disordered. Before reading, I’d think to myself,
“not me. This could never happen to me.”
Since digging into these books, I now feel better equip to handle and take on my own situation. The books do very well explaining the information in a broken-down, simplified manor, so that the entire process of dealing with a sociopath is easy to understand. There was a time when the idea of healing from my situation seemed impossible, but I know now that with time, patience, utilizing the methods outlined in these books and allowing myself to take some time to thoroughly process and release what happened, healing is possible. Thank you, Donna for putting these books together.

I am reading the third book out of four and have really learned so much not just about the person but how much of my life was in constant destruction because it was all I knew. Thank you for opening my eyes that people like this exist, a devastating fact I found out after 26 years of marriage / dating.

While I’ve only read the first book – “Understanding the sociopath”- I’ve read about so many situations I can relate to – unfortunately. Yet- it is so helpful and I know it will lead to my recovery.

I had a consultation with Donna last week. She was so incredibly helpful and helped me start my healing process after realizing that a past relationship of mine was with a sociopath. I do realize that I put myself into a bad position with someone online, but Donna’s perspective helped me understand the nature of sociopaths and the extent to which they will go to manipulate and control others. This happened years ago, but the wounds recently came back and kind of tore into me. Donna helped me understand so much, and this knowledge is really powerful and useful to me.
I have also ordered the books and am looking forward to reading them. And have found her YouTube presentations and discussions to be invaluable.
Had I not found this site, and her counsel, I may just have continued to blame myself for a long time….
Thank you!
