It’s hard for me to be merry today. I’ve been trying so hard to use all of the advice I have been given thus far, and it does help at times. Unfortunately, today, I can’t seem to escape the loneliness I’m feeling. I know that my betrayal isn’t that old, and it’s going to take time. For all of us that are feeling this way today, please know that I’m thinking of you and praying that we all find our way to the happiness that we desire and deserve.

I am with you resilient. It is hard and lonely. I went to church today which helped some. I also did some research on how god and faith look at and judge sociopaths someday. The biggest thing i took from the article is that it advised not to lose faith in humanity due to your relationship with a sociopath. Also a neighbors words helped in telling me without any reason or prompting that i am doing what god is intending me to do in my life. My hope and faith in a higher power has helped… I am with you. It is hard painful and lonely.

Thank you both for your support. Traumatized41, I’m sorry you are having a similar experience. And, of course, our sociopaths are feeling nothing like we do! While my tears have been flowing today, I’ve been trying to read uplifting stories, quotes, etc., to help me. And I’d like to pass along a favorite, “Promise me you’ll always remember: You’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.” It’s from Winnie the Pooh, and it’s powerful! Somehow, we will get through this…
