My ex- after 11 years, after I kicked him out, found a new girlfriend/fiance PDQ. He had hit me a few times, and put me down a lot, and gaslighted me for years. Somehow I found her phone number. She lived in another state. I called her and told her my experience with him. It was very hard for me to make that call, but I did it. When he found out (I probably told him) he seemed very hurt that I would do that. Ha. Why do you think he was hurt? Because I betrayed him — that ONE TIME, when he had betrayed me hundreds of times. He trusted me to always be there for him — always, no matter what. Well, surprise surprise.
