      Hi everyone!

I am new to the forum but was wondering if anyone would be willing to fill out a short survey for my university dissertation on Gaslighting, Antisocial Personality traits (the Dark Triad) in a Partner and Power Dynamics in Intimate Relationships.

This is a topic that is very close to my heart and I am trying to help raise awareness on narcissistic and psychopathic partners, the survey is completely anonymous and your participation would be very valued and appreciated!!

I don’t feel comfortable clicking on any links.

How do we know this is not a scam?

sept4 – totally understand, but I checked out the link – it is legit. Completely anonymous, no personal information asked. The survey asks you to answer various questions from your point of view, then answer the same questions from the ex’s point of view. It asks you to pick your worst relationship and use that person as reference. It also asks you for a keyword in case you wish to withdraw your answers at a later date. I think the surveyor is trying to understand your perspective on how the other person was thinking vs your way of thinking. I found it interesting, if somewhat flawed, only because when we look back on the bad relationship it is totally clear that the ex’s motives and values were very warped, but when we went through the relationship, that was a tad harder to comprehend. The survey says it is a study about gaslighting behaviors. I would hope they are also surveying people who are still in gaslighting situations, then do the same survey after they get out — that would be interesting to compare thought processes and perceptions.

I usually never click on links like this, but I did a deep dive into the the url and it checked out, and the named university is legit.

        Hi emilie18

thank you so much for checking it out! I have found it difficult with how to reassure people online that the link is legit so thank you so much for reporting back and thank you again for completing the survey I really appreciate it as well as your feedback, I will be sure to include you comments about a during and before comparison in my suggestions for future research direction!
