Hello everyone. It’s been a while since I’ve posted on here. I wanted to take a moment and thank you all for being there for me at the height of my addiction to my former sociopathic boyfriend. I finally, finally, finally was able to permanently end that relationship. I have not been in contact with him since February, 2022. It took a lot. I was so addicted to him. At one point, I would have rather died than let go of him.

The inspiring words found in this forum and from Donna Anderson helped me get through many a day. Thank you!

I also found that God really does answer prayers! I met a man on a dating website back in January, 2022, and I’m in the best relationship I’ve ever had. I’ve never had a man treat me with respect, care about how I feel and genuinely be concerned about my well-being until this relationship. I am so happy! And what makes this even more interesting, is his last name which when translated means, and I kid you not, “heavenly angel.” Amazing!!

To those that are struggling with a sociopath, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I lived that life for about 8 years. Then I finally stood up for myself. I prayed to God to help me get away from him. I worked very hard on myself. A lot of therapy, reading, crying, advice, etc… I learned to love myself enough, and I did it!! No contact is the best advice!! You are worth it!! The right person is out there. I never thought I’d see the day that I’d make it to the other side! But, I did, and you can too!
