      I was browsing through some Facebook pages a day or two ago when I came across this advice, posted in LARGE COLORED LETTERS. Luckily I have never had a “panic attack” myself, and with any luck I never will, but I thought immediately of this site where a great many people have been subject to PTSD symptoms and the like. So I can’t vouch for the efficacy of the advice that was posted, which was on somebody’s Facebook page who may have been bipolar. All I can say is that it appealed to me on several grounds, not least as a piece of “common sense.”

      I understand there’s a trend in therapy today called “mindfulness.” I can’t claim to know everything that “mindfulness” entails, but the idea at least makes sense to me, if it means staying in touch with reality! Anyway here’s what that notice said, for what it’s worth:

      ====================================================

      TIPS TO HELP WITH AN ANXIETY ATTACK

      – Look around you

      – Find five things you can see,
      four things you can touch,
      three things you can hear,
      two things you can smell,
      and one thing you can taste.

      This is called grounding. It can help when you feel you have lost all control of your surroundings.

      PLEASE RE-POST.
      IT COULD REALLY HELP SOMEONE IN NEED.

      Thank you sharing such amazing tips. Anxiety and depression are very complex disease to overcome from. Now a days people are consulting voyante sérieuse who can guide them to make important life and future decisions. More on can start meditating, it helps to keep the mind peaceful and lowers the depression. I would like say always try to be happy no matter what the situation is.
