This was very helpful today. Missing my ex but reminding myself it’s just the trauma bond, and it’s not the person I miss. Thank you for sharing!

I’m glad to hear that article was helpful. It can definitely be more painful to leave an abusive relationship, than a normal relationship due to the intense trauma bond. You need to listen to you head and not your heart in these situations. The sociopath, or abuser hijacks the bonding system, they cannot bond, or love past the love bombing stage. What you think is love is actually not love at all, its the addiction to the roller-coaster cycle of abuse and false sense hope that the abuser will change back to the love bombing stage. The love bombing stage is all an act to keep the victim hooked.
