What can we learn from Joran van der Sloot a sociopath?

You are here: Home / Media sociopaths / What can we learn from Joran van der Sloot a sociopath?

Geraldo Rivera provided his analysis of the ”¦ Natalee Holloway disappearance case. Prime suspect Joran Van Der Sloot has given a series of interviews proclaiming his total innocence. “The lie that he has fastened on,” Rivera pronounced, “is that he took her on the beach but didn’t have sex because he didn’t have a condom, then left her on the there. It’s at odds with the story he told earlier, but as he tells this story he becomes more confident and more glib. I believe there is a pathological aspect to this man.” The Factor concurred that Van Der Sloot seems psychologically unbalanced. “I can’t figure out why he wants do these interviews because he comes off as a sociopath. If he makes one slip-up he’s done. It looks to me like he’s a danger junkie – he likes this cat-and-mouse game, it’s exciting to him” (source)

Does it matter whether or not Joran van der Sloot is a sociopath/psychopath? Why not just be satisfied that he is a “criminal” and an evil person?

Yes, it does matter, because when dealing with a sociopath the usual rules of human interaction do not apply. Anyone who treats a sociopath as they would a non-disordered person is likely to get burned and to be implicated in the evil that sociopath does. Joran van der Sloot’s story illustrates this principle.

Joran’s father, Paulus, was an attorney many believed knew the truth about what happened to Natalie Halloway, the first young woman Joran was accused of murdering. Paulus strongly supported his son after the murder accusations first arose, and was even charged himself as an accessory after the fact, though the charges were dropped.

Paulus van der Sloot died of a sudden cardiac death last February and so did not live to see the result of his enabling of his son. Joran’s mother, Anita, is now alone to deal with the repercussions of the family’s enabling.

The lesson to be learned is that if you have a family member who has been charged with a serious crime, and that family member has psychopathic personality traits, or is diagnosed with antisocial personality disorder, DO NOT HELP THAT PERSON IN ANY WAY.

Over and over again, we have said on this website that sociopaths are able to do evil in a large part because they are enabled by family members and various governmental agencies- including the judicial system and law enforcement. Well, law enforcement does it again.

It turns out that the FBI wired Joran $25,000 as part of a “sting” operation, as they were trying to arrest him for shaking down Natalie Halloway’s parents. According to former agent Paul Lindsay, “the FBI formula for extortion stings is, “set ’em up, pay ’em off, get ’em to talk, never let them leave the room without handcuffs on.” Because the FBI did not understand the psychology of their suspect, they let him leave the room and were out smarted by a sociopath.

The lesson to be learned here is that next time the FBI wants to sting a sociopath they should contact Lovefraud so that Donna and I can tell them not to give a sociopath any money”¦ that is unless they want the sociopath to use the money to kill someone.

One more lesson to be learned from the van der Sloot case is that media psychiatrists should stop confusing people with their false categorical statements. I came across this analysis of van der Sloot by psychiatrist Keith Ablow (who I have criticized before):

“Serial killers whether organized or disorganized are always made, never born. Having interviewed dozens of killers myself, I can tell you that it turns out that evil never appears ”˜out of the womb’.”

Well, I knew Rodney Alcala, and I can tell you that he was born with a disposition to become a serial killer that was present in his early childhood. Serial killers are both born and made. Evil is in the genes of some people but like many other traits it needs the right soil to take root and blossom.

Thanks EB…I definitely am not obsessing at all…just thinking about all of this, putting it into some kind of “perspective” if that is at all possible! and if I can understand it better, see mistakes I’ve made clearly then I will hopefully not repeat those in future. Like keeing my MOUTH SHUT. I have to tell myself that over and over. There are days I used to email him and tell him off, tell him what I saw in him…good grief. What a waste of computer electricity….it isn’t like he’d hear it, listen, take heart, look within..that’s for sure. And it only got me a 10 page email back with a diatribe I obviously didn’t want to hear.

What’s cool for me is that now for 3 months I have had only one text contact with him…and it was a nightmare..he text me back 15 texts that I deleted, didn’t read…which I do wtih EVERYTHING he might email or text me. And as I said before I set up contact with his current wife. That works much better. The less I give him to feed off of the better. I am going to now go and practice my game face. My FU business face that I need to perfect!

Is anyone watching the interview on Dateline with Joran? He keeps SMILING as he lies and says “I”m so sorry if they had to lose a daughter” (meaning the Flores woman he killed).

That smile at inappropriate times, the trying to be jovial and polite when talking about SERIOUS things that anyone normal or half normal would NOT be smiling about—-ugh!

Make the hair on my neck stand up!

HE IS PLAYING THE VICTIM!!! Yet, even when he admits he has “done things he shouldn’t” he blames others for him doing them. He is ANGRY at Natalie’s family!!!!

Funny thing is, if he had gotten on a plane directly to Holland when he left the hotel instead of trying to flee through Chile he would probably have gotten “away with it.” Holland would not have extradited him.

He “tricked” the police though, when he signed the confession he used a “fake” signature. (of course his finger print was on it!)

(Head shaking here) Amazing! He still feels like a WINNER! He thinks he will get away with it in the end.

I’m going to go take a shower, watching that piece of scum made me feel dirty! YUK!!! I wish Peru would get around to convicting him so maybe they would wipe that smirk off his face—nah, even that wouldn’t, he’s still feel like he got attention…

Yea, I know what you mean, I used a wire brush to shower with, scrub the stench off of myself! Sheesh! They are just about enough to make you puke!

Of course these people are at the HIGH END of the scale, but it is so unbelievable that most people don’t really get just how evil these people are and HOW MUCH DAMAGE they can do—-even on a world wide scale for that “preacher” At least Van-der-slut (I love that name, Henry!!!) “only” killed two women (that we know of) and didn’t start any riots all over the world, but the damage done to the families of those two girls is horrible. The one family never even finding a scrap of her to bury or any closure other than what they make themselves.

    Dear EB and Chic,

Use the wire brush till you bleed girl friends! Yea, He’s angry at N’s family. If they hadn’t “BOTHERED ME” (get that!!!!! LOL ROTFLMAO) Bothered HIM! He wouldn’t be where he is now. bwahahaha ahahah ahaha

The smirk and the smile will make you want to brush to the BONE with the wire brush! Steel bristles, no brass brush will get that scum off you!

NO ONE would believe him, and he can’t see that! He does NOT get it at all. He isn’t even good enough to sort of FAKE emotional response. He is totally out to lunch on this one. Some one should have put a plastic bag over his head, tied it real tight around his neck and called it RETROACTIVE CONDOM! Well, I will bet the farm here and now that he will not survive prison in Peru. Not if they put him in gen pop!

I know, he wants to go to gen pop to play sports????
I noticed he hardly ever blinks, what’s up with that?
    Psychologist supposedly says he’s a narcissist…
I hope that will get people to look up narcissist, if the psychologist
called him an S or a P… most people would just think he’s
    another crazy killer,
if they look up narcissist, maybe they’ll go a little further
and make the connection with sociopath.
I’m going to go take my wire brush treatment now.
