Pennsylvania State University, home of the storied Nittany Lions football team and its legendary coach, Joe Paterno, was rocked by allegations that one of Paterno’s former assistants, Jerry Sandusky, was charged with sexually assaulting eight young, disadvantaged boys.
The point of the article I posted earlier today, about former Pennsylvania State Senator Vincent Fumo, was abuse of power. This sex abuse scandal is a variation of the same theme. Sandusky’s inappropriate behavior went on for years, probably because no one wanted to challenge a football dynasty.
According to the grand jury report:
• In 1998, Sandusky brought an 11-year-old boy into a Penn State locker room shower and behaved inappropriately. The boy’s mother reported it to Penn State University police. After a lengthy investigation, the Centre County District Attorney decided there would be no criminal charges.
• In 2000, a janitor saw Sandusky in the showers with an 11- to 13-year-old boy pinned against the wall, performing oral sex. He was distraught as he told his fellow janitors and his supervisor what he witnessed. But most of the janitors were new employees, and they were afraid that if they reported what had happened, they would lose their jobs.
• In 2002, a Penn State graduate assistant witnessed Sandusky having anal sex with a 10-year-old boy in the locker room showers. The graduate assistant told Joe Paterno. Paterno told his supervisor, Athletic Director Tim Curley. There were a few meetings, but no official investigation. In the end, all that happened was that Sandusky was told he could no longer bring boys to Penn State. Then, when the grand jury investigated, both Curley and the university’s Senior Vice President for Finance and Business Gary Schultz, downplayed the incident.

that’s why it’s so important to educate people about spaths. that judge must be clueless. This is a spath. Spaths do the same things. over and over. they never change. Peds are spaths. lock him up, throw away the key.

I read your post way up…..and chuckled to myself.
My ex spath and I agreed on xx children…..way early on….and after the xx child we were in unison on stopping. No arguments, no tug of war…..it was proly the ‘easiest’ decision we both came to.
Then…..when the shit hit the fan, we were in counselling (with the jr’s)and this was as I was in treatment for Cancer and I too was told if I got pregnant it could be life threatening….and take severe precautions….I did! He announced to the counselor when asked if we wanted more jr’s……he said YES…he’d like more.
I just about fell off my chair! I’d NEVER heard this before, he knew my condition, our relationshit was sucky and our youngest was 14, he couldn’t give a shit except to abuse the jr’s we DID have…….and NOW he wants more kids…..WTF?
I have no idea what THAT was about……last attempt at grooming a clone?
and i wasn’t about to ‘fix’ our relationshit with another child…..thank god I had that much sense!

Well, I have to quit reading about this….it is like a DRUG with me, it is making me CRAZEEEEEE….I remember when I read that article here about Dr. Amy Castillo’s X husband murdering her children after she WARNED the judge, begged the judge not to let him have the kids, he got unsupervised visitation and sure ENOUGH KILLED THE KIDS! I thought that was a RARE occurrence, but it wasn’t—if you watch the newspapers and news blogs, it happens fairly often, killing the kids for revenge….or some “big shot” raping children…and the judge/DA/Cops etc doing nothing. I have been depressed all day and I think is the incessant reading about this case, and visualizing that Sandusky pervert in the shower with the poor kid and McQueary walks in and MAKES EYE CONTACT WITH THEM BOTH, then WALKS OUT! That poor kid. You know I have changed my attitude about capitol punishment, but I have NOT changed my idea about the “Loraine Bobbit Solution!! for some crimes where life without parole or dismemberment of the member is not enough…this is one of those, and McQueary should be locked up as well, but because he is the witness FINALLY he just gets suspended.Well, I got to get off this subject before I explode!

From everything I’ve read, the problem began with Tim Curly and Gary Schultz. They changed the story from rape to “horsing around in the shower”. Everyone who heard the story from then on, didn’t take it seriously. On the other hand, since this was a child and the insinuation so serious, it would seem that the people in authority would have called the eye-witness in for questioning. If nothing else, just morbid human curiosity would have made most people go straight to the horse’s mouth for confirmation of the details.
I find it hard to believe that this was anything but a coverup from the very first.
