Pennsylvania State University, home of the storied Nittany Lions football team and its legendary coach, Joe Paterno, was rocked by allegations that one of Paterno’s former assistants, Jerry Sandusky, was charged with sexually assaulting eight young, disadvantaged boys.

The point of the article I posted earlier today, about former Pennsylvania State Senator Vincent Fumo, was abuse of power. This sex abuse scandal is a variation of the same theme. Sandusky’s inappropriate behavior went on for years, probably because no one wanted to challenge a football dynasty.

According to the grand jury report:

• In 1998, Sandusky brought an 11-year-old boy into a Penn State locker room shower and behaved inappropriately. The boy’s mother reported it to Penn State University police. After a lengthy investigation, the Centre County District Attorney decided there would be no criminal charges.

• In 2000, a janitor saw Sandusky in the showers with an 11- to 13-year-old boy pinned against the wall, performing oral sex. He was distraught as he told his fellow janitors and his supervisor what he witnessed. But most of the janitors were new employees, and they were afraid that if they reported what had happened, they would lose their jobs.

• In 2002, a Penn State graduate assistant witnessed Sandusky having anal sex with a 10-year-old boy in the locker room showers. The graduate assistant told Joe Paterno. Paterno told his supervisor, Athletic Director Tim Curley. There were a few meetings, but no official investigation. In the end, all that happened was that Sandusky was told he could no longer bring boys to Penn State. Then, when the grand jury investigated, both Curley and the university’s Senior Vice President for Finance and Business Gary Schultz, downplayed the incident.

Well if the judge in this case can be bought, I have just irrevocably lost all my faith in humanity. Maybe the creep will hire OJ’s lawyer.

You know I am a big Clint Eastwood fan. I have a Dirty Harry movie – can’t think of the name of it – about a young woman whose sister ended up in a mental institution catatonic after being raped as a teenager by a gang of creeps. The rapists never got convicted and they all went free. So the woman, with the help of Dirty Harry, took it upon herself many years later to find every one of the rapists and kill them by shooting them in the balls. No one was able to trace the murders back to her.

I think I’ll go watch that movie right now. I need to feel like there is justice somewhere, even if only in the movies.

we can thank Clint for the ‘Make my Day’ law – just a few nites ago a teenager who had been a bad seed his whole life broke into his dads house with a baseball bat – well dad shot and killed him and wont be arrested because of the Make my Day law…

    Star,
did you see “the changeling”? directed by Clint and starring Angelina?

It’s a true story. It will have you freaking out!

It doesn’t have a perfect ending, but there is justice. The uber spath is portrayed perfectly. I wish all people would watch it and UNDERSTAND that it is about spaths and the TYPICAL behavior that spaths unleashed, will display.

Edit: I love Eastwood movies too. My spath reminded me of him, the way he dangled his cigarette from his lips reminded me of Clint in the spaghetti westerns. It’s one of the reasons I fell for the creep.

Hens, I can tell you from experience with a “bad seed” kid, that father’s day was “NOT made.” I have NO doubt that if my son Patrick gets out of prison I will be either dead or in a position where I’ve had to kill my own son in order to not be dead.

Actually, the “make my day” law was passed that if someone even verbally “threatened you” that you could blow them away and call it “self defense.”

To my understanding it is legal in all 50 states to PROTECT YOUR LIFE from someone who intends to hurt you or is a danger to others. In my state you cannot shoot or kill someone who is not an immediate danger to life, or is JUST a danger to property. A while back here a man shot a guy who was in his yard stealing gasoline from his car, not an OK shoot.

Arkansas just arrested a guy for a THIRD murder. The first two were he killed his Father in law (of his first wife) and then separately his own father…he did a few years in prison for the second killing, now he is up for murder AGAIN along with a woman who he helped kill a man who was interfering with their Meth cooking. She is also up for another murder that this guy didn’t participate in…the last two bodies were buried in her back yard. HOW? MANY? MURDERS? do you have to do before they put you away and KEEP YOU AWAY?

Sky, PLEASE don’t compare Clint with your spath! It will totally ruin him for me. lol I have never seen The Changeling but will put it on my list. At least there can be justice in the movies.

Yea, I know, Sky….this couple are all over the news here lately. One of the men that they dug up in this woman’s back yard was the son of some “big dog” local politican, he’d been missing for over a year. She had also been involved in another murder and had turned state’s evidence and got a PASS in exchange for ratting out her partner on the first murder she was involved in. So here are 3 previous murders between the two of them, and NOW, two more….and it is just like these serial rapists that they arrest, put away for a couple of years and then let them back out, arrest them again, and so on…yea, I agree “pass the bucket.”

It is just frustrating to me to sit here and try to figure out a way to keep my psychopath son in prison so I am not the next one he kills….or I have to kill him myself, which is what that father Henry was talking about had to do. I have been prepared for some time to have to defend myself from my son, because I know he has NO FEAR, but I sure don’t want to HAVE to do so.

Star, yea I used to watch Clint when he was on “Wagon train” the black and white TV show when I was a kid, when he was VERY young and smooth faced. I saw him on TV the other day in a news article about the J. Edgar Hoover movie he produced/directed. He is 81, and has obviously had several not so great plastic surgeries. LOL But he does have the sexiest voice of any man I think. Well, except for Sam Elliott, but they are both the kind of cowboy/tough guy types.

So Sandusky claims that a little bit of the accusations are the truth, but he sounds confused and scared, you know, a victim. B/c we all can imagine that those silly boys MISUNDERSTOOD, right? That buggering in the shower was just horseplay and gosh, he admits he shouldn’t have hit the showers with the boys… in hindsight that is.

Don’t we ALL take showers with little kids after playing a game with them? Sure. And if they misunderstand shower horseplay or hugs or grabbing their legs… well, that’s just kids being dumb.

Nowwww… where’s my spath manual. Hmmm. Here it is. Minimization. Trivialization. Claiming misunderstanding. OH FOUND IT! Smear campaign!! That’s it. Time to smear CHILDREN b/c the little tikes can’t tell the difference between a friendly hug and being raped.

ps I also saw in the news that 10 more have come forward. The numbers are building. Can you imagine how many are his victims? ALL those years and ALL those kids. What was a body to do when others KNEW and didn’t say NO.

Where’s the poem? HE ONLY did the kids that others LET HIM DO.
