Defense attorneys for Jerry Sandusky, the former assistant football coach at Penn State who is accused of molesting 10 boys, may argue that the man suffers from histrionic personality disorder. So what is it? Lovefraud readers sent links to articles that explain:

    OMG – are they going to go after the wife, too?

    “As for Sandusky and his family, Amendola said he has given them an objective appraisal of what they could expect.

    “‘I’ve used the best example I could use: climbing Mount Everest from the bottom of the mountain,’ he said. ‘It’s a daunting, daunting case.’

    “He also said that Sandusky had his wife talk to a criminal defense lawyer a couple months ago ‘just to be careful.'”

    Odd that Sandusky’s lawyer is talking so much about his client and the case. Is he trying to distance himself, make a name for himself, or what?

    I was just listening to his lawyer and IMHO, he is incompetent.

    Thank God.

    I was scared they would let him off. I wasn’t sure, but it seemed to me that it might go that way. I’m so glad that I was wrong on that one.

    Between this and them finding that priest, Lynn, guilty of covering up the priests who were sexually abusing children, I am going to sleep very well tonight.

    Grace,
    for me it helps keep me from losing all hope.
    I’m not kidding when I say that since the day I ran from the spath and learned what they are, there has not been one day that I don’t wake up and the first thing that comes into my mind is: OMG, there’s so much evil in the world.

    That’s how I start each day.

    Louise;

    I think that the press did not do objective reporting. I felt the focused too much on the defense and not enough on the victims’ testimony. Given this, I like you , felt that Sandusky might get off.

    But when I read detail accounts of the victims’ testimony, I was convinced he would be found guilty.

    I agree, Sky. These two convictions (including Lynn’s) have given me hope. I don’t know why, but I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off of me personally.

    I’m sorry to hear that is how you start each day, though. 🙁

    BBE, I never saw any detailed accounts of what the victims said to read. I just found summaries that were pretty general.
