    Hens,

    I recorded the interview that was on TV with one of Sandusky’s abusers and finally got to watch it this AM.

    He said that Sandusky’s wife was cold to him. From what he described, it sounded like she knew perfectly well what was going on. All the other people in Sandusky’s family were kind to him and included him, but she rejected him and only spoke to him sternly.

    Sandusky abused him in the guest room across the hall from their bedroom.

    I don’t think she was in denial. She enabled by knowing and doing nothing to stop the abuse. I hope they go after her.

    There must be much more to this if Sandusky’s lawyer would go on record in a public interview that he advised her to speak with a criminal lawyer because he couldn’t represent both of them.

    Yeah, Stargazer, I know exactly how you felt.

    Hi hens,
    You make a very good point, that most people miss: most pedophiles (both men and women) who offend against same-sex children are NOT homosexual, they merely go after victims that they have the easiest access to.

    Stargazer, I’m glad that this is giving you some vicarious validation of the abuse you suffered at the hand of your stepfather. Thank GOD for the guilty verdict! I think someone should study what happened so that it can be repeated! After the travesty that was Casey Anthony, OJ, etc… it’s good to see some justice, and sanity, for a change.

    I feel kind of similar to you. I’m getting the same sort of validation from a news story up here in Canada. A journalist has just published a quick and dirty e-book about the whereabouts of a notorious female sex-killer (Karla Homolka) who got a horridly inappropriate 12 year sentence for her part in the kidnap, rape, torture and murder of three young girls, the dismemberment of one, and the rape of at least two others who are known. All recorded on videotape (except the murders). Her sentence was in exchange for her testimony against her husband, but all the forensic evidence (that was surpressed at trial) indicates that she was the actual murderer.

    The reporter found her, and has reported that she now has three children (ironic since that’s the number of murders she was convicted of, although more are suspected).

    The newspaper comment sections and internet are going crazy – even though the case happened over 20 years ago. She’s the serial killer that Luca Magnotta (that bizarre murderer who was just arrested in Germany) modelled himself after and was fixated on, so I’m pretty sure the author did a quick e-release of her book just to take advantage of the publicity of the other case. That one little story appears to be completely overshadowing the Magnotta case. Twenty years on, Canadians still haven’t been able to get past the injustice of her sentence, and are adding comments to the newspaper items so fast it’s slowing down their servers! Makes me feel validated, and like I’m not so crazy to feel angered by my own abuse so many years later.

    If people who’ve never experienced this kind of stuff first-hand feel so strongly, it’s no wonder we still carry around an issue or two about it!

    Annie and Parallelogram,
    I agree that many of these spaths want notoriety. It’s obvious. The columbine killers come to mind.

    But my spath is different. He doesn’t want any attention. He wants to kill but not be caught. He’s aware that attention is one of the downfalls of other spaths. He wears the cloak of humility.

    Except with his minions. He tells them what he wants them to know. Some people, he told that he is a ladies man who cheats on his wife when in fact he screws men and children. Others, he tells that he kills. Yet, he doesn’t want fame or fortune, he just wants to be able to kill at will without being caught.

    I hope that one day we will be able to look at spaths and see them clearly for what they are and what they want. Then we give them the opposite. They should never get any reward for what they’ve done. It’s not that hard to see them clearly, we just have to be brave enough and committed enough.

    If I remember correctly – since I have deliberately chosen to avoid getting too deeply embroiled in this horrific trial – didn’t Sandusky demand a “speedy” trial?

    Didn’t have “time” to prepare a defense? If I’m laughing out loud, it’s out of utter disgust – how does one “defend” Sanfartsky’s crimes against children? Personality disorder? Bad zodiac sign? Uh……addiction to lead paint?

    If “justice” truly existed, Sandcrapsky would be taken out behind the Courthouse and given into the hands of the victims and their families……

    ICK, ick, ick, ick…….

    Well, Sandusky’s lawyers may get an appeal on that one upheld, he did come to trial MUCH QUICKER than most cases…but you know, I think if there is another trial, he may get the same sentence. I just feel sad for the poor victims having to go through it again.
