Defense attorneys for Jerry Sandusky, the former assistant football coach at Penn State who is accused of molesting 10 boys, may argue that the man suffers from histrionic personality disorder. So what is it? Lovefraud readers sent links to articles that explain:
What is histrionic personality disorder? on CNN.com.
What is histrionic personality disorder? on Health.Yahoo.net.
I hear Banjo’s in his future,,,Deliverance…..
Annie, that is too funny, but the author presumes that Sandusky is going to feel humiliated.
Is that possible with a P? Wouldn’t the P have to feel guilt or remorse?
If he’s 100% P, wouldn’t he have waved and laughed about the singing?
I’m not convinced he felt humiliated. He showed no emotion when the verdicts were read.
Unfortunately, because they always blame any failures in their lives on someone else, and I am sure that Sandusky feels that his big shot expensive attorneys will get him out in the end, he doesn’t see this as “the end” of his life….not yet anyway. Plus, he has the money to buy commissary items for those in his cell area to buy favors…it is amazing what a candy bar will buy when it is the only currency.
My piece of shiat convict son feels like a great success, yep SUCCESS, and he has spent his entire adult life in prison, yet he sees himself as a SUCCESS???
It doesn’t matter what a person like him (rich and well known) does, even kiddie rape, their fame will buy them a lot inside prison, and their money helps too. He can buy body guards and protection inside prison just as well as outside. Guards are also EASILY bribed as well.
I agree with you, Ox.
So, is it possible for a P to feel humiliation?
I’m thinking they might be mutually exclusive, for the lack of a better expression.
Grace and Ox,
he got a hard on when he heard that song. No I wasn’t there, I just know.
lol.
I don’t believe that Sanspathsky feels anything other than irritation. He has no remorse, so therefore he feels no “humiliation.”
And, my feeling is that his fame and commissary privileges won’t go all that far in prison. Inmates render their own form of “justice,” all of the time. And, it would not surprise me if one of the victims or their family members arranged that true justice be delivered – happens all the time.
Skylar……ew……just………………….ew
I am not an expert on the feelings I feel, so can’t be an expert on the feelings of others, but my GUESS is that humiliation is not a common feeling among psychopaths, or shame, or remorse.
Yes, in some prisons, Some inmates are abused because they are kiddie rapers, my son told me aobut him and some other guys tattooing a guy on the face in in high letters “Kiddie raper” but I imagine that is in the lower socio-economic groups.
It is a fact that rich and/or infamous inmates get perks that other inmates don’t. Him having known lots of the famous foot ball players and having I am sure an endless line of patter and tales that would be interesting to the inmates he will probably fare well in prison. Either that, or he will be kept in solitary protective cells….which I think would be worse on him than putting him into the general population.

Wonder if Jerry will be as popular as Jeffrey.
OxD….GOOD POINT! I can’t hardly sort out my own feelings, either! But, one thing that rings true to me is that human beings who are incapable of remorse or empathy most likely lack any ability (?) to “feel” humiliation, as well.
In the case of the exspath, the only thing that might have been the slightest bit “humiliating” would have been exposure. But, since he expressed NO remorse for the initial discovery and betrayals, I have no doubt that he felt no humiliation, whatsoever. He may have “felt” inconvenience since I took action to divorce him and he wasn’t planning on that, at all.
Yeah…..”inconvenience” as opposed to “humiliation?”
And, you are right about the segregated units. I don’t know anything about PA prisons, but Sanspathsky will be a popular target for many reasons by many people of the same ilk, and worse (if that’s possible).
