New research has found a specific change in brain chemistry due to trauma. An article on Medscape.com says:

“Lower serotonin 1B levels were also strongly associated with age at first trauma. The earlier the trauma exposure, the greater the brain alterations and the greater the severity of PTSD symptoms, and the greater the risk of developing comorbidities,” senior author Alexander Neumeister, MD, associate professor of psychiatry at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City, told Medscape Medical News.

“These findings establish that trauma at a young age causes long-lasting neurobiological and psychological effects in survivors with PTSD. In other words, early-life trauma can interfere with normal brain development,” he said.

The article is somewhat technical, but lay readers like us can pretty much follow what is being discussed. To read the story, you need to register for Medscape.com, which is free.

I totally believe and discussed stress with my homeopath……He said we hold stress in our neck area…..and this is where ALL my issues were…..Thyroid/Carotid Dissection etc…..
He was not surprised in the least with my medical issues being in my neck, knowing me for so long and telling me to reduce my stress……..I didn’t know I was under so much…it was normal for me…it was MY life!
Stress throws our metabolism (thyroid) off…..and here we go!

I found out about the thyroid related cholesterol when I took my (cholesterol) script to my pharmacist and said I had thyroid tests and meds coming up. She said once the thyroid is under control that I probably wouldn’t need all this. So I go with it and ride the rollercoaster. I hate taking pills!!! That’s why I got the Doc’s sermon. Better living by chemistry!!

That’s cool that your son is riding with the cops! Thanks for telling him to not kill a bear. Kill a burglar instead!! I had a home invasion robbery in June. I ran from the bat rastard!! They caught him. He went to a neighbors house and robbed them after mine. What a fiasco night that was. helicopter, K9, 18 deputies and me shaking in the middle of the street.

It all comes down to….. it hasn’t been PTSD! There has been a serious physical issue going on and it has similar symptoms to PTSD and everybody needs to find a way to get both mental and physical help!!!

I also have low thyroid. Was on meds T3 and T4 for a few years. The doc thought my muscle pain was related. As soon as I left the spath the muscle pain went away because he was no longer able to poison me with strychnine. Yes, I’m still subclinical hypothyroid, but don’t need treatment as much. I think I can get away with some natural supplements for now. So much of this crap is related to the emotional, but don’t underestimate the possibility that you are being poisoned. THEY HAVE NO LIMITS.

It’s important to get a specialist who knows how to diagnose and who isn’t afraid to treat with both T3 and T4. BUT, when I told my thyroid doc that I was sure I had been poisoned (before I knew with what) he just looked at me like I was crazy. Normal people with normal lives don’t get it and NEVER WILL GET IT, until they survive the wars that we’ve been through.

It’s up to us, peeps. We have to spread the message until it becomes 2nd nature for normal peeps to see the reality that we are ALL living in.

and yes, it makes you feel like you are lazy when you never were before. it tops off the ill health with guilt. bummer.

I do believe emotional well being is the first step. Everything else follows from that.
