Did you ever try to tell someone what you went through with the sociopath, and they looked at you like you were crazy? Most people really don’t understand the extreme deception and manipulation that goes on in these relationships. Now everyone can learn what happens, up close and personal, by listening to the True Lovefraud Stories podcast.
Since I launched Lovefraud.com in 2005, I’ve heard literally thousands of unbelievable stories of people’s encounters with sociopaths. They’re shocking, but true. You literally can’t make this stuff up.
Now, I’m giving you and all Lovefraud readers and viewers the opportunity to tell your stories. Brave survivors have said to me, “If I can save one person it will be worth it.” They are sharing what happened to them in the hopes that their stories will help you.
The True Lovefraud Stories podcast is available for free on all major podcast platforms.
The value of stories
It’s true that stories help us learn. In fact, Paul Zak, a researcher famous for his work on oxytocin, says that stories can change our brains. How? According to Zak, stories that are personal and emotionally compelling engage more of the brain. Stories focus our attention. They are better remembered than simply stating facts. Stories are ideal vehicles for transmitting important information.
What is the information that I want to share with you? Sociopath exist. They seem to be charming and charismatic, but in reality, they are destructive and dangerous.
Each episode is a drama
Unlike many podcasts, True Lovefraud Stories are not just interviews. Each episode is a drama — with a story arc, narration, audio clips and music. These podcasts grab your attention like an old-time radio show and don’t let go. You can listen to first few episodes now — just click the “Podcasts” link in the Lovefraud menu bar.
In one episode, Alejandro Wickham and his Navy SEAL tales, a woman tells about meeting her perfect match. He was good-looking, smart, former military, single, no kids — and had a presence that she found appealing. They married — and then she learned the shocking truth.
In another episode, Kimberly Lucas and premeditated murder, a woman tells a tragic story of the ultimate betrayal. After more than 20 years together, she and her partner split up. The very first time she let her partner have visitation with their children, she was supposed to take them to the zoo and the beach, but that’s not what happened.
I have to tell you, I am a storyteller at heart, and I really enjoy producing True Lovefraud Stories. I have a treasure trove of more than 10,000 cases that I’ve collected from Lovefraud readers and viewers. I am thrilled to be telling their stories.
Lovefraud Live! is now on Zoom
Another announcement — I am moving the Lovefraud Live! show from Youtube to Zoom. Zoom is a much more flexible platform, and I hope that it will provide a more intimate and helpful experience for you. The format will be mostly the same, in that I’ll do a short presentation on a topic related to sociopaths, although sometimes I’ll bring in guest experts. Then I’ll answer your questions as always.
Lovefraud Live! will no longer be on Youtube. The new Zoom event will be available only to podcast subscribers. This is the next step in the evolution of Lovefraud, and I hope you’ll support me.
I ask for your support
As I said, I launched Lovefraud.com in 2005, and for all these years it’s been a side gig. But recently my day job got outsourced. I didn’t want to do it any longer anyway — my work at Lovefraud is much more important. I want to follow my heart and devote myself full time to helping you.
In the meantime, there are a lot of costs associated with running Lovefraud and these podcasts. But Google keeps changing its algorithms so our advertising revenue has dropped dramatically. So I’m turning to you. Please help keep Lovefraud going by subscribing to Lovefraud podcasts. As a premium subscriber, you get both podcasts — True Lovefraud Stories and Lovefraud Live! You also get five terrific benefits.
Benefits of your Lovefraud Podcasts subscription
Benefit #1. You can listen to all episodes of True Lovefraud Stories without the interruption of ads or announcements. Members of Lovefraud share not only what they endured, but also how they dealt with the sociopath and recovered. We want you to have hope, because recovery is possible.
Benefit #2. You get exclusive bonus content. With each of the True Lovefraud Stories, I do a separate interview with an expert about an important issue that it brought up. With the two episodes that I mentioned, you can also listen to an expert on stolen valor and a psychiatrist who talks about recovering from profound betrayal.
Benefit #3. Exclusive access to the Lovefraud Live! podcast. You’ll receive an invitation to the live Zoom meeting every Tuesday at 8 pm Eastern time. As I said, Lovefraud Live! will no longer stream on Youtube.
Benefit #4. You have easy access to the complete Lovefraud Live! audio archives. This means you can easily listen to all previous episodes on your favorite podcast player. There’s a searchable database of all the episodes on the podcast website. That’s where you can find the topics you are interested in.
Benefit #5. Finally, if you sign up for an annual subscription, I’ll send you a free printed copy of my first book — Love Fraud – How marriage to a sociopath fulfilled my spiritual plan. It’s a wild story, in which I tell what happened to me, and most importantly, why it happened.
