I ran across two articles in NY Times that sort of got me to thinking about how it sometimes does pay off to act like a psychopath—in business or other ways.
The following (quite long) article tells how an Internet seller terrorized his customer. I think that many people who have been the victims of psychopathic-like stalking can relate to this woman’s story. The fact that it was over such a relatively small amount of money is amazing to me, though. The lengths to which this stalker pursued his victim are also amazing to me.

This follow up article tells how, eventually, through the persistence of the victim in pursuing justice for the bullying psychopathic-like stalking she got from the abuser, it turned out that the man didn’t get away with his campaign, and now local, state and federal authorities are getting on the band wagon to go after this guy.

The guy even got denied bail. Yea for that judge “getting it.” It will be interesting to me to see how this plays out and just how much real jail/prison time this guy actually gets. While I can’t diagnose someone out of the newspaper, I really do feel that this man fits the criteria for many of the traits of a psychopath and he definitely is a stalker.
🙂

The metal detector has scanned the yard, so far, only a coke can! :)…..I went out on the midnight shift, so the neighbors didn’t think i’m nuts and report back to spath (they are still in touch) and kids don’t see.
We did have the yard completely landscaped about 9 years ago…..and all dirt was disturbed.
I have my suspicians and but need help moving something……and didn’t get to it this year……so next year, it’ll be first on the list. I have a gf who is ex dea…..and she’s all in. She said she could get more equipment….so we’ll see what we land up with.

EB – the taxes were your heavy lifting this year. I often think about how clearing those up lifted a big weight off of you.

EB,
Good that you only found a coke can so far. Glad that you have a GF from DEA!!! I was gonna offer some of my connections down here, seems like you don’t need them. I hope you have an uneventful rest of evening and day!

OMG, this story reminds me of something. I purchased game hardware for my son on eBay. I paid quickly. The stuff never came. I got the run-around from seller. I left negative feedback for this seller. This seller chased me down for months. This seller wanted to me to change the bad feedback to good feedback. The seller said he will ship item if I change his feedback. It was stupid! It got to the point where this seller was threatening.
Yes, so sometimes people’s ulterior motives are over so little.
I reported this seller to ebay and to the web police. Finally it stopped.
I gotta point that while this seller was chasing me down I was so spooked that it made me weird. I was getting into trouble by saying the wrong things to people. It really can change who you are.
I feel this way again since this court day with Jim. It made me selfish. I can’t seem to be able to help others cause I’m so focused on my own problems and fears.
Jeannie,
When we are already stressed, any little “additional” stress added to what is already there may tip us over the brink to where we are like a cat cornered by a dog, we fight back almost automatically or snap at people. That is a normal response so, don’t beat yourself up for being a bit “selfish” or help others…right now, your MAIN JOB SHOULD BE TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR OWN NEEDS….FIRST and foremost, take care of YOU. That does NOT make you “selfish.”
Now you sit down and write out 500 times, “I will take care of myself FIRST” and turn it in before lunch tomorrow! LOL ((((hugs))))
