Much of the United States erupted in outrage at the news that Casey Anthony was acquitted of murder. Bloggers and citizens asked: What was wrong with the jury? Couldn’t these 12 people see through her lies? Even if they had been sequestered for the trial, the media had been reporting her loose relationship with truth for years.

Lies, however, do not prove that Anthony committed murder. Even Wendy Murphy, the feminist lawyer who vociferously supports battered mothers and abused children, predicted that Casey Anthony would walk. Why? The prosecution did not have proof, beyond a reasonable doubt, that she committed the crime.

Psychologists have had a field day with the case. The Psychology Today website has 17 posts, by various experts, on the topic. They’ve covered many aspects of the case, including Why do moms kill? and The science of jury selection.

Lovefraud readers are probably in agreement that Casey Anthony is somewhere on the narcissist-sociopath-psychopath scale. How did she get that way? She had to inherit the genetics from somewhere in her family tree. Then, since the origin of sociopathy is a mixture of genetic and environmental factors, her dysfunctional family probably played a role in the development of the disorder. Maybe she was, as the defense claimed, abused by her father.
In the end, we don’t know how Casey Anthony acquired her sociopathic traits. But I am fairly confident in predicting that at some point, because of her sociopathy, Casey Anthony will crash and burn.
Sociopaths as failures
As a group, sociopaths tend to be failures. They end up with health issues, financial problems and legal problems. They usually die sooner than people who are not personality disordered.
Just this week, I’ve received news about three of our True Lovefraud Stories:
James Montgomery: My ex-husband, who now lives in Australia, tried to hook up with a woman a few years ago and invited her to visit him. She did, and was not impressed. When he fell asleep on the couch, she snuck away and never talked to him again. The woman just saw Montgomery at a train station and reports, “He’s the size of an elephant, has a long white beard and dresses like a hippie.” So much for the guy who promised me that we’d be living “in the lap of luxury.”
Brian Ellington: I hear about this guy more than anyone else profiled on Lovefraud. The most recent news is that he was arrested again in New York City on June 11, 2011. The charges: drug possession with intent to distribute.
Anthony Owens: A commenter submitted this to the “Fight Bigamy” blog: “Bishop Anthony Owens passed away in a hospital on Tuesday, July 05, 2011 in a hospital in Memphis, TN. Funeral services is incomplete at this time.” Anthony Owens was not yet 40 years old.
So although sociopaths have highly inflated opinions of themselves, usually the charade falls apart. I’m sure that sooner or later, Casey Anthony will screw up on a large enough scale to put her out of circulation. Even sociopaths who skated for a long time eventually failed. Look at O.J. Simpson. Look at Bernie Madoff.
I would just like to seem them fail sooner, and with less collateral damage to the rest of us.
UPDATE 7/15/11:
Just got more information on exactly how James Montgomery was “dressed as a hippie.” Apparently there are hippie communes where Montgomery now lives in Australia, and my source speculates that he has joined one because that’s the only way he can afford to live. Here’s what she said:
He was wearing: red/orange pants, hippie sandles, caftan like long top to ankles in multiple colours, big round glasses with pink lenses, long scarf draped around his neck and over his shoulder nearly touching the ground and a hat which looked like a beanie. A long white beard probably about 12/15inches long and I would say weighing about 150 to 175 kilos or more (330 to 385 pounds). Imagine a man 6ft 2ins tall 175 kgs and wearing that get up!!!
I once had a profile about him posted on another site that became defunct, including a photo of him posing with those two boys who raked leaves with him. I had posted, “If these were your children and if you lived on [such and such street, in such in such town, in such and such state, in such and such year], ask them if this man ever touched them inappropriately, and if they say ‘yes’, please contact me online”..
Well, that web site came down, to my dismay. I think, sometimes, of re-posting it, with same photo, on another site. What do ya’all think about that?
To me, it is MUCH better to be angry (outwards expression & release, of “sadness”) than t stay depressed. It still galls me that, for almost a decade, I lived in that rental home with him, it had no dishwasher, so, typically it was ME who washed dishes by hand (he only OCCASIONALLY washed dishes, after I prepared EVERY MEAL).. he balked, with seeming RESENTMENT that I would ask him to do something “domestic”, when asking him to occasionally help me wash the kitchen or bathroom floors, yet, in the beginning of our relationshit, he boasted to me with, “I’ll bet you didn’t think I was ‘domesticated’, did you?”
What a crock!
Also, I think there was a constant “danger” to him wrecking our rental property, when he worked, contracting, doing “stint” jobs, painting houses and carpentry, when, at the end of the day, he rinsed out his paint buckets & brushes, in our utility sink..so he could have easily clogged them up. Oh..and I doubt he was ever BONDED (certified) to do that kind of work, I never saw any such “certification” .. When he had his affair with the MARRIED woman, I think his first sex with her was when she hired him to paint her house, and I think it happened/started, about one year before he left me. The (I allege) S.O.B., I hope her son and sister read the profiles I posted about him online. If they do, at least they MIGHT keep a “hairy eyeball” and “hairline bead” on him! She is a FOOL if she did not have him sign a prenuptial, if she married him (she would be his THIRD wife, if she went through with it.)
Talk about another NUT JOB CASE in FLORIDA!!!!

Sounds like this family rivals the Anthonys for “dysfunctional family of the year” with a toddler caught in the middle.
Ox: What is it with that state? After the long hard winters here, I was considering moving back to Florida, till the Anthony case hit and then I remembered why I was glad, in a way, to leave. Beautiful semi-tropical climate-I love the ocean…but a totally different mode of life/people and values, than I was raised with-just not my lifestyle. Also, I found it unregulated in many areas-Doctor, laws, schools etc. Melting pot…..
I lived there a year and a half in Hollywood, between Ft. Lauderdale and Miami and believe me I felt like I ESCAPED from that place, I have felt safer and more at home in thrid world countries than I ever did in that place….every month the paper had a map with the 75+ murders that were in the area mapped out and a “reason” why they were killed, drugs…or whatever. My son C was mugged and almost killed in our nice neighborhood, the book store manager of the little community college he attended was murdered in his store, I could go on….plus my darling P son got his first felony arrests in Fla and they would release him right back to me (he was 17 almost 18) and when he skipped bail and cut off the leg bracelet I had them put on him (I wouldn’t take him without it) they didn’t even put a warrant out on him for 3 months.
Yea, it is a crazy place I think…I’ll pass on living there…and as far as I am concerned the weather there is worse than here and that is saying something…I feel like I went to hell, I just didn’t have to die first! It is SOOOOO HOT!!!!!
Ox: WOW! That was a nightmare!!!!!!! Holy smokes! I was looking at Sarasota, Boca Raton or Naples. Oh, I loved the weather! NO snow, winter. Yeah, I liked it. Didn’t go out in the summer till late afternoon and watched the sunsets/dolphins diving in/out of the water. Nice.
Well, maybe upper or western Florida is better than southern Florida but I ain’t takin’ no chances! LOL
Hi Oxy,
I spent five weeks in a yoga training in Ft. Lauderdale. It wasnt’ that bad back in 04. However, my husband and I went to the hospital to see our friend in Hollywood. It was the pits!! Run down and crime ridden/his nieghborhood, he said had deteriorated in the last five or so years.
On the other hand. My brother and sister in law lived in Ft. Myers and that was kind of nice there. I can’t take the heat so I don’t think I could live there all year round. Different strokes…
Ana I left there in 1989, only lived there a year and a half, and the houses were “nice” but the crime in the entire metro area was horrible (from Key West to Ft. L.) The thing is I was not used to that kind of crime, panic buttons, muggings and murders by the score….hookers strolling on the streets in lace teddies as I went to work at 6 a.m. LOL First time I ever heard about “car jackings” and all that….and I had lived in Dallas, and even LA, CA in previous years, but seemed like more violent crime than I was used to or cared to live around.
The murder on the highschool campus the first day of school in Hollywood sort of unnerved me…but then before the year was out the resource cop officer came to my house and my kid had a gun on campus…then in December 1989 a few days before we left the book store manager at Pembrook Pines the local community college got shot and killed in the college book store. You’d think the college book store would be the SAFEST PLACE IN TOWN. Turned out not to be.
