hi 2be –
my connection to my spiritual path (which was significant and brought me out of depression and illness for 15 years of my life) was ruptured and I do not know when, what, how this will change.
it is painful. I am not there yet. i don’t believe that it will work again, and i don’t know yet what will for me.

One joy, I hope you get to move by the summer – what a happy day that will be for you! And I hope you get a clean airy place without cigarette smoke coming through the walls. Snakes can be sensitive to chemicals, but they are amazingly resilient to most household environments, even those of smokers. I specifically bought non-PVC plastic cages for mine because there were some studies that the outgassing from PVC causes cancer in animals. I think a Sphynx cat (one of my favorites) would be an excellent pet, but they are dangerous, too! The cuteness levels can get very high and you could possibly pass out from the cuteness. I think you would really love a corn snake or a king snake. They stay pretty small. A ball python is probably about the gentlest snake you could find. They will just chill hanging around your neck. And they don’t grow past 4 feet. No reason you couldn’t have both a cat and a snake. I have both.
I totally hear you about friends who don’t get who you are or project things onto you. I spend so much time alone because I prefer it to people I have to explain myself to. Usually when I find someone I really like, they have a busy life and a family. My boss is like that. I also spent the day with one of the managers in my office. I really liked her, and we had a great time. But that will probably only happen maybe once every six months. For me, intimacy and real friendship comes very slowly in tiny increments. I will test this guy from Chile to see if he can be a real friend to me. He already senses my pain due to my upbringing and he is compassionate. But with men, there is usually a hidden agenda, which is sex. So I will proceed very slowly. These latin lovers can easily be my downfall. lol
I wish so much good to come into your life, one joy. You really deserve it.

hens, ouuu i sooo wanted a bengal cat! if only i could still do fur!! they are very special cats. they have a different voice than any cat i have ever heard. they get quite ‘musical’ when in the proximity of yummy things. oh, a maine coon cat could whip some wiener butt, too!
the hairless cats are really soft to the touch. i’d have to make him a little ‘hair suit’ (snort) out of something like alpaca….not too sure about the booties. sigh. maybe something with bunny ears.

Bengals are awesome, but they are very athletic. They will be jumping up on top of doors and stuff like that. If I had about $8,000, I’d get a first generation Savannah cat. They are bred from African servals (often bred to a Bengal or Mau) and look exactly like servals. That would be my dream cat.

One joy,
I also wanted to share that I’ve had a few sessions in therapy of what is called “cellular release” work. In this, they guide you through a process to release on the cellular level anything that gets in the way of your spirituality, or your ability to trust yourself. I definitely felt a difference after this one particular session. Something like this may help with some of your physical issues as well. I used to have a lot of health problems years ago that I don’t have anymore. I don’t believe that your allergies and sensitivities are a life sentence for you. I believe they can be healed, though I’m not sure what it will take. But I believe personally that they are not permanent – or don’t have to be.

star, i just checked out the serval cat – you are right, cuteness to the factor of pas out. 😉
a chill 3 or 4 ft snake that wants to hang on my body would be awesome. can you safely sleep with snakes (safe for them and us)?
i can’t have any kind of plastic around me – cage would have to be metal or bamboo. my floors are off gassing formaldehyde still so no animals here.
i don’t feel like my lost friend projects onto me – sorry, i didn’t make that clear. the issue is that he doesn’t explain how he feels or what he thinks about things very well because he is emotionally cut off – and i used to fill in the blanks with MY feelings or experiences (expect sky to jump in and point out my narcissism here. 🙂 Well, i don’t want to do this anymore. so, if we both can survive my no t doing it and him having to and we still want to spend time together then we can be friends. if not, then not.
re latin lovers – we all have our weaknesses. 😉 i have a thing for pale british girls with no chins. go figure.
and thanks for the good wishes. they mean so much.

Bengals are exspensive and high maintenance – I have a few wild cats that hang out in the distance – the wieners see em out the window and go bezerk to get em, sometimes i let the dogs out the front door and they are off like a bullet and the cats run up a tree.. this one old yeller cat i call morris stood his ground and the wieners came to a halt and turned around and walked slowly back – like – ‘ we will get him next time ~!”
