What sociopaths want: power, control and sex

The two most recent Letters to Lovefraud both had the same theme: Sociopathic men who relentlessly pursued women, proclaiming their love, making glowing promises of a committed relationship. The men pushed for sex, and although the women resisted, eventually, believing they were involved in real romances, the women succumbed to the men’s physical desires. With that, both women were dumped.

Read the letters here:

I met him on Facebook, was used for sex and dumped the next day

I felt bonded, even though this made me nauseated

Both women were astounded at how they were unceremoniously booted. They had a hard time coming to grips with the idea that they’d been used and abused. How could a man say all those wonderful things and not mean them? How could a man who talked so eloquently about love be lying? How could a man paint such a beautiful picture of the future and then discard me? Was there something wrong with me? Wasn’t I sexy enough? Smart enough? Pretty enough?

Both women tried to get answers from the men. The men, however, never admitted the true reason that they did what they did:

They wanted to.

Core of a sociopath

Sometimes it’s hard for us to get our minds around how truly different sociopathic individuals are from the rest of us. This is understandable. After all, 96% to 99% of people are like us—capable of love and consideration.

But that 1% to 4% who are sociopaths—well, they might as well be aliens. These people:

  • Feel no empathy at all towards other human beings
  • Have no conscience
  • Are interested only power, control and sex

This is the core of a sociopath—no empathy, no conscience and desiring only power, control and sex.

Implications

So what does this mean? It means sociopaths feel entitled to take what they want, regardless of how their actions may damage others. It means they get no satisfaction from connectedness with others, they only get satisfaction from winning. It means sociopaths view the world as predators and prey—they are the predators and everyone else is prey.

This is shocking. Mind-blowing. Impossible to understand.

So we cannot try to understand. We can only accept. This is how they are.

They do not want us as lovers, partners, friends or family members. They want power, control and sex.

    Outlier,

just wanted to add a quick note that I was able to see the ‘energy’ of the next Spath/N being born in my family, too.

My grandmother had married an spath monster, and brought it into the family (that’s as far back as I can see anyway). My whole family is brown haired, brown eyed, but the spaths/conmen/N’s come out blond and blue, and they’ve got all the charm and magnetism from the start. When I say start, I mean infancy! And then they start talking and it all goes down hill. Actually, with my oldest brother, he apparently threw a telephone on me when I was still in my crib. Prob. explains why I’m such a light sleeper, I haven’t relaxed since 🙂

Oh, and the people who love narcissists and spaths are just as predictable. My grandmother’s favorite grandchild was the last of the kids in my family, another blond-blue who’s now 19 and showing alllll the signs of being a conman. She was drawn to him immediately (she hadn’t figured out the pattern), she just felt drawn to him, and that he was ‘special’.

Also, just as a btw, I noticed that when my now con-men siblings were just infants, even then they had larger than average ‘man parts’, as did my ex spath. It’s freaky! It’s almost like they were born to breed . . . breed evil that is.

So handsome, so charming, so ‘manly’, so evil.

My last one had a huge you know what… is that indicative of them? I didn’t realize that.. but he goes from wife to wife.. and has many children, some of which died before being born and two with brain tumors which is highly unual. And he spent a year seeing his two living sons only once.. while talking about how much he ‘loves’ them.. one of his stepsons killed himself and the other is mentally handicapped.. then his daugher was molested by her ‘mother’.. it’s like nightmare of abuse and sadness…and he want to ‘get married’ that’s his goal.. and he was after me like a missile and I dodged and dodged…
and got away before the missile exloded in me.. and I never felt any rea sexual attraction to him although he was very handsome. It was like his love for me and the over attention that he lavished on me was what kept me there and wondering if I could fall in love with him.. but I never did really.. then he started the tearing me down…
All he talked about was money, how great he is and will be and sex and talking about sex turns me off.. I have found that real sensual, sexy men don’t refer and talk about it ..

    Hi guys~

I have been busy staying in tune with the James Biela trial. He is accused of raping several college students and murdering a young lady in Reno, NV. (Brianna Dennison in 2008.

KOLO tv news has a reporter blogging live from the courtroom….blow by blow.
    http://www.kolotv.com/biela

Check it out if anyones interested…..

I’m getting in the word ‘sociopath’ as I can. I also plan on attending a few days. This trial is due to last 3 weeks.
There are others attending who have had children murdered by SOCIOPATHS. Like Charla Macks mother….(Darrin Mack killed his wife Charla and shot the family court judge chuck weller sniper style). To offer support for the victims families.
This is a prime opportunity to discuss (sidebar) Sociopathic personalities.
On this blog, they reported having 1400 hits….so that’s 1400 people that can read the word SOCIOPATH and be encouraged to google the behaviors! 🙂

James Biela grew up in abusive home, witnessing dv by his father. His father is diagnosed mentally Ill. (diagnosis?).
JB has had several restraining orders against him on DV. threatened neighbors with knives etc……
Other behaviors reported are parallel to a sociiopath.
And check out those eyes….BLANK and dark!

Just wanted to check in and say hi and let you know I’ve been up to ‘no good’. 🙂

    Hope your all well!!!!
    Stay safe!

    Hi Erin,

I’ve seen those dark black kind of eyes when my ex spath was at his evil worst, they’re definitely a sign! and then i remember how I used to see a sparkle in his eyes, and in the eyes of the other spath’s i’ve known, when they see something they want. Have you seen that extra charming, extra charged gleam they get when they’re after some ‘supply’, trying to charm it out of the supplier? i found myself drawn to my ex for the energy in his eyes, it seemed so attractive. that freaks me out now, actually. hope i’ve gotten rid of that part of myself that would be drawn to it. aaaakk.

    Psyche,

Mine would also get the gleam in his eyes, then he would smile. The smile would usually signal that he was thinking something perverted. It wasn’t directed at me, it was directed inward.

His eyes remind me of a shark. Something is off with them, preditory like.

Oh, my god — the “eye sparkle” thing, the beady shark eyes, the over-large unit (so large it was practically a deformity) — I saw all that too!
