Every week the sociopath hooks up with shemale escorts

October 19, 2014 //  by Lovefraud Reader//  5 Comments

This SPATH Tale was submitted by the Lovefraud reader whom we'll call “Carlisia.” The sociopath left me and our son homeless. We were involved six years ago when I became pregnant. He was very upset about the pregnancy and treated me badly, even offered me money to have an abortion. He disappeared from our lives when our son was six months old and found another victim. Three years passed and because something went wrong with my child support I had to contact him again so he can fix it. We started communicating by email and exchanging pictures and he wanted to take me out to dinner to "catch up." I accepted and the love-bombing started all over again. More intense than the first time …

She is taking everything I own and trying to destroy me

October 15, 2014 //  by Lovefraud Reader//  6 Comments

Editor's Note: This SPATH Tale was submitted by the Lovefraud reader whom we'll call "Victor." I met my wife seven years ago. She was still married but told me her husband was abusive and she was working on a separation with him. He left the home and she bought him out (very little equity in the home). About six months after he left I moved in with her. We became engaged after three years and had a very passionate relationship. I was so proud and happy and we were so close. We married in 2011. Everything was great and we really got along well. I did notice that she would never say sorry for anything she did and it was always me that paid for things. We sold the house after I …

‘Gone Girl’ and a missed opportunity

October 13, 2014 //  by Donna Andersen//  19 Comments

[youtube_sc url=http://youtu.be/Ym3LB0lOJ0o] I went to see Gone Girl this weekend, spurred by reports from several Lovefraud readers that the film reminded them of the psychopaths in their lives. In my opinion, the story was a realistic portrayal of psychopathic behavior until it descended into psychopathic cliché. Here's the official synopsis on GoneGirlMovie.com: GONE GIRL — directed by David Fincher and based upon the global bestseller by Gillian Flynn — unearths the secrets at the heart of a modern marriage. On the occasion of his fifth wedding anniversary, Nick Dunne (Ben Affleck) reports that his beautiful wife, Amy (Rosamund Pike), has gone missing. Under pressure from the pol …

Study reveals possible neurobiological explanation for good and evil

October 11, 2014 //  by Tracy Andersen//  2 Comments

For decades scientists have been studying the unique characteristics of the psychopathic brain. Abigail Marsh, a Georgetown University psychologist, wanted to study the complete opposite of the psychopaths, what she refers to as the “anti-psychopaths.” For her research, Marsh chose altruistic kidney donors. These people are ultra do-gooders who are extraordinarily compassionate, prosocial, and empathetic so much so that they will give up a perfectly good kidney just because a stranger needs it. Her findings, recently published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Science, found that the brains of kidney donors looked structurally different from psychopaths, revealing evidence that th …

I still feel like a fool for being blinded by love

October 10, 2014 //  by Lovefraud Reader//  7 Comments

Editor's Note: This SPATH Tale was submitted by the Lovefraud reader whom we'll call "Gerald." At age 62, I married a gal I'd been in love with all my life. I'd known her in high school and when I re-connected with her I felt that my two divorces were just dues I had to pay to get "the real thing." I told her that marrying her was like winning the lottery for me. She soon began to manifest some troubling behaviors fabricating supposed cheating incidents that never happened and misunderstanding small incidents. She became hyper-critical of everything I said or did. The first real clue I had to the nature of the problem was when I mentioned a book I'd read, "The Sociopath Next Door." …

The tragic outcome of 30 years with a sociopath

October 8, 2014 //  by Lovefraud Reader//  20 Comments

Editor's Note: This SPATH tale was submitted by the Lovefraud reader whom we'll call “Corrine." I stayed married to a narcisstic personality disordered sociopath for 25 years. He always had mistresses he would throw up in my face and sincerely enjoyed hurting me, through words, looks, violence and strangulation. He used to hurt the children because he knew it would hurt me. I was always dealing with some crisis, real or imagined on his part. I realize now that it was what he used to distance himself so he would not have to be intimate. He never displayed affection, or caring for any of his children (three sons and one daughter). He died two weeks ago and there is nothing in his w …

Will Jordan offered plea deal of three years in prison

October 7, 2014 //  by Donna Andersen//  Leave a Comment

Will Jordan, of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, was back in court yesterday after being charged with scamming Mischele Lewis of Florence Township. During plea negotiations, Jordan offered to spend a year in the county jail, followed by five years of probation. That deal was rejected by both the victim and the Burlington County, New Jersey, prosecutor. Instead, the prosecutor offered three years in state prison and a lifetime No Contact order. If Jordan rejects this deal, the case will go to trial. Love fraudster accused of scamming Florence woman gets new plea offer, on BurlingtonCountyTimes.com.   …

I was love bombed into a relationship with a sociopath

October 4, 2014 //  by Lovefraud Reader//  4 Comments

Editor's Note: This SPATH Tale was submitted by the Lovefraud reader whom we'll call “Ms Love Bombed.” My involvement with a sociopath lasted five years. I didn't know anything about sociopaths until my therapist told me to look up the definition. That is when I realized I was involved with one. My spath love bombed me the minute we officially met. I had known him only from going to my husband's softball games. The first few years, it was only sex with him. He was living with another woman (which I didn't know for the longest time and he lied to me, saying they were just roommates). I always said I was his whore. He called me names and verbally, emotionally, and mentally abused me. …

Abusers and their 5-step strategy to get women to drop charges

October 3, 2014 //  by Tracy Andersen//  6 Comments

A new study reveals the five-step strategy men who are charged with felony domestic violence use to get their female victims to recant their stories. Researcher Amy Bonomi, associate professor of human development and family science at Ohio State University, and her team, listened to recorded phone calls between incarcerated men and their female victims. The analysis of these conversations may fundamentally change how victim advocates and prosecutors work with domestic violence victims to prosecute abusers, according to the researchers. Jailhouse phone calls reveal why domestic violence victims recant, from Science Daily. "Meet me at the hill where we used to park": interpersonal …

Our son acts just like his sociopath father; maybe even worse

October 2, 2014 //  by Lovefraud Reader//  8 Comments

Editor's Note: This SPATH Tale was submitted by the Lovefraud reader whom we'll call “Good Mom.” The father of my son was a spath. He is now deceased. He killed himself. He was a drug and alcohol addict and he was very abusive. I was beaten regularly. I was a possession. He owned me and he owned everything that was mine. He lied as easily as he breathed. I went through a very difficult break up with him when my son was 3 years old. I did not know until after his death that he was a spath. We have a son who is now 37 years old, and I do believe this is hereditary because he is also a spath and acts exactly the same as his father, maybe even worse. I had never known anyone who beh …
