Will Jordan exposed on TV on July 24, with commentary by Donna Andersen

July 23, 2014 //  by Donna Andersen//  11 Comments

Will Jordan had a routine. He went online to meet single mothers. He seduced them with flowery emails. He told them he had no children, but really wanted a child. He got the woman pregnant all while draining her assets. Childless Will Jordan actually had 13 children with eight different women. He didn't support the children. And the women lost hundreds of thousands of dollars. One of his targets, Mary Turner Thomson of Scotland, wrote a book about her experience. She had two children with Jordan, all the while believing that he was a CIA agent, as he told her. But at the same time, Jordan was married to a British woman, with whom he had five children. When the women found out about each …

3 Signs You Should Stop Hurting the Sociopath in Your Life

July 17, 2014 //  by HGBeverly//  27 Comments

So you're wondering if you're with someone who has a character disorder? Maybe a narcissist? Or a sociopath? If you are, you might often be accused of hurting that poor person. Here are three things you might be blamed for, otherwise known as red flags: 1. A person with a character disorder is not responsible for his or her life. You are. And if you don't step up to the plate with a full wallet, lots of energy, and a constant smile, then you're going to hear about it. About how mean you are. Uncaring. Unloving. Unwilling. Even if you've been stepping up to the plate with all of the above for years and are simply worn out by your partner's inability to invest alongside you. Even when you're …

LETTER TO LOVEFRAUD: Addicted to my relationship with a sociopath

July 16, 2014 //  by Lovefraud Reader//  53 Comments

Editor's Note: The letter to Lovefraud was submitted by a Lovefraud reader whom we'll call "Gwenda." My name is Gwenda and I am 27 years old. I'd like to share my story with you in hopes of getting some advice, help, or possibly sharing my story with someone going through this that could possible help them and they can relate to. Last year I started dating a guy who I believed to be the man of my dreams to discover I was dating a demon sociopath. When I met him he seemed like the most normal guy, told me he was in construction, going back to school to become a helicopter pilot, had lived in so many parts of the world, was so cultured, and extremely good looking and charming. He really made …

The massive costs of sociopaths to society

July 14, 2014 //  by Donna Andersen//  14 Comments

My local newspaper is the Press of Atlantic City. It's a small-town newspaper covering the Atlantic City, New Jersey area. It's not the New York Daily News, the Daily Mail or another British tabloid. Yet as I read the paper one day last week, I was shocked to see one story after another that seemed to illustrate sociopathic behavior. I shouldn't have been surprised. In my opinion, when adults freely commit crime, aggression, fraud, exploitation, violence, bullying, retaliation or pathological lying, they likely have sociopathic traits. There is research to back this up, which I'll get to soon. But first, here's the news for July 9, 2014. (Although I saw all of the stories local, …

George Ferguson, a man of many cons, feted in death

July 13, 2014 //  by Lovefraud Reader//  5 Comments

Editor's Note: This story was submitted by Lovefraud reader "one/joy_step _at_a_time." I have an attraction to people who 'say it like it is', and for doing the same myself. Which is something that I had to learn to rein in and use strategically when dealing with the spath. Despite the carnage of my experience with her and other narcs and spaths, this has been the singularly important tool that I have developed: I keep my thoughts and ideas to myself when I smell real danger. And now, I am going to celebrate letting it all hang out. This obituary, penned was the deceased's daughter,  was published in the Victoria Times Colonist newspaper in British Colombia, Canada. FERGUSON, …

3 Ways Cops Can Support A Sociopath

July 11, 2014 //  by HGBeverly//  49 Comments

Think street cops are better trained to deal with sociopathy than the rest of us? Think again. Here are three ways that cops—at least the small town variety I'm most familiar with—can get pulled into aiding a sociopath: 1. Cops are just as likely as anybody else in the world to be charmed by a sociopath on the spot. In my case, I called for help when my ex threatened to leave my house with our children and not bring them back. At the time, he had also been actively stalking me and threatening my life. The local prosecutor had just sent an "official" letter to him, warning him to stay more than 100 feet away from me (or some similar distance). After our disagreement over his intent to keep o …

Helping Children Heal While Co-parenting with a Sociopath

July 11, 2014 //  by Quinn Pierce//  7 Comments

by Quinn Pierce I sat on the now familiar, well worn bench outside the courtroom, and I watched the strained faces of the people around me as I waited for our name to be called.  It was our fourth appearance in the family court due to my son's unexcused absences resulting from an illness the school has yet to acknowledge. The whole process has been exhausting, to say the least, but it's been made even worse by the carnival-like antics being performed by my ex-husband and his lawyer. As usual, a situation that should solely be about supporting our child has been turned into another  Look At Me, I'm the Victim one-act play.  It seems that any captive audience lately has become an op …

Rolf Harris— a household name in the music, art and TV entertainment industries in Australia and the UK for 50 years, has been found guilty of sexually assaulting four teenaged girls. Harris, now 84, was found guilty after an eight-week trial in London. Because of his age and poor health, Harris' barrister Sonia Woodley plans on requesting a reduced jail sentence. Harris had previously received multiple awards, including royal honors such as Member of the Order of the British Empire, which will be stripped. Rolf Harris found guilty of 12 counts of indecent assault of four girls, from News.com.au. Link supplied by a Lovefraud reader. …

LETTER TO LOVEFRAUD: My experiences as a private-duty caretaker of a disabled sociopath

July 9, 2014 //  by Lovefraud Reader//  7 Comments

Editor's Note: This letter to Lovefraud was submitted by a Lovefraud reader whom we'll call “Garth.” I've been in the medical field since 1984. I've been a Nurses Aid/private-duty caretaker for a disabled patient since 2009. It took me three years to realize exhibits all the traits of being a sociopath. I came across your site and plan to get your book.  Your site and short videos really helped me see him for who he is. I am still with him but I am no longer stressed about it. I stay my distance and only care for him in short periods through the day. I don't know how his wife has dealt with him so long. I feel suckered that my patient seduced me into his illness and plays these emot …

Jeremy Meeks

Beliefs, love and sociopaths

July 7, 2014 //  by Donna Andersen//  73 Comments

Meet Jeremy Meeks. His photo was posted on Facebook in mid-June. With his high cheekbones, steel-blue eyes and tough-guy tattoos, the image quickly went viral. Where was the picture posted? On the Facebook page of the Stockton, California Police Department. Jeremy Meeks is a criminal, charged with 11 felony counts of weapons possession and gang activity. This is his mug shot. No matter. Women were apparently lusting after him, and sending him their phone numbers. Women lusting after sexy felon Jeremy Meeks are pissing off his wife, on Gawker.com. I saw the picture on TV last week. Multiple media outlets—including Time.com— reported that because of the photo's more than 100,000 Fac …
